Hummingbird

I wonder if the hummingbirds, like the little chipping sparrows, consider themselves so small for humans to bother with. When my parents have visited before, my father would sit on the deck while the chipping sparrow would land on the deck, not 4 feet from dad, and eat away. These little hummingbirds seem to have no problem flying about and eating from their feeders while people are around either. As a matter of fact, on many an occasion they will divebomb and become very chatty with you.

While sitting on the hammock I was able to take these pictures of one of the little hummingbirds. It sat on the same branch watching the other two hummers chasing one another.

It sang and you can see it's ruffled feathers while it did so. It was also scratching itself too. Too cute.

Pictures of the hummingbirds and all your flowers are simply glorious. Thanks for braving the heat to give these to us.
