Priscilla Hair's NY Beauty Workshop

One of Priscilla's creations she had at the workshop. Friday the guild had our workshop with Priscilla Hair learning paperpiecing on her NY Beauty pattern. She is a dynamic and outrageously funny teacher. I would love to take another class from her. Priscilla's comical wit takes the stress out of the impossible and her easy-going attitude make what seemed to be a difficult task attainable. No matter how far anyone got in their process, we all had a great time. No two blocks were the same and all were inspiring. The encouragement we receive from one another and from Priscilla (when she wasn't catching me not working) make the workshops all the more fun as well as a learning experience.

Queen Rachael was the first to finish her wedge and proudly wears it as a tiara...it even coordinates with her outfit.

Rachel W. or as she sometimes calls her self, 'the other Rachel'...We sat together and had a great time helping encouraging one another throughout the workshop:

Jolene used the most wonderful piece of fabric for her spikes. It gives the illusion of alternating colors but is actually the fabric itself..wonderful watercolor feel to it. (sidenote: Jolene is the one who made me the wonderful Gotta Have It Bag).

Princess Ille wearing her tiara:

Sonnie really took up the challenge to alternate her spikes...I was doing well to alternate 2 fabrics let alone 4!!

Buzzy wearing her crown & her two finished wedges.

Pat H's piece hanging on her portable design board:

Carolyn showing her piece. As a side note, Carolyn is Rachael's mom.

Linda holding two of Rachael's paper piecing projects, the mini ny beauty and her heart. Rachael has this whole paper piecing deal all sewn up for sure!

Ille showing Rachael T's pirate doll for the PMC Stargazer Tome class. Rachael is certainly the clever one and her pirate is a real charmer!!

My untrimmed piece:

Shelvy's piece:

Shiela's:

Dana's piece:

Nancy who hand sews all her quilts:

Linda's

Barbara McB's.
