Cooking

Wilbur who is always at the ready to help me in the kitchen.

Spunky watched from his kitty station across the kitchen...

while I fixed one of the recipes on Smitten Kitchen for roasted tomatoes and garlic and tried it out for the second time. I was going to take the pics the first time but ate them instead.

I started by placing the grape tomatoes sliced in half in a bowl along with the garlic cloves and tossed them with oil (i'm too messy to drizzle directly onto tomatoes and it came out more like dumping on my first try).

The placing them on the stone I added salt, greek spices and popped them into the oven to bake on 250 for 2 hours.

When they were done I mixed some of them with artichoke hearts, a little balsamic vinegar, little olive oil and feta cheese and put them on cheese bread I had gotten from Panera and broiled them in the oven (again the first fruits were eaten without the gratuitous picture...maybe next time).

That looks delicious. I don't know how I could cook without a canine and feline audience.

I love your helpers. Mine is not allowed within 10 feet of me, for fear I'll trip over him and hurt one or both of us! Of course, you've seen the size of his feet...

And your cat on the counter looks like a statue!

I love your black kitty in the drawer, too. I do enjoy cats, but they carry ear mites, and I can't deal with ear mites in a Mastiff.

Mmmm, that looks yummy!

Thanks for the award :)

I left a big 'ol post tonight, if you want some reading over the weekend! Or break it up in segments over the next week.

What other kind of foods do your doggies like? And your kitty is funny...very curious!
