We celebrated Katie's last night with us with her birthday. She's 13 now (on the 25th).
We had gone shopping for her birthday on Monday. Doug's once yearly trek to the Augusta Mall. Michael tagged along too. They both whined. Katie and I had a ball though. It's fun shopping with a girl so I really enjoy her visits.
Tonight though we had cheesecake, a cake she picked out (one of our rituals is picking your cake). She picked a mixed variety of 4 types: german chocolate cheesecake, turtle, double chocolate chip and chocolate swirl.
Since he's been off this week, Doug has refused to shave, yuk!! I like the mustache but the beardy thing has gotta go.
What on earth would I do if he retired?!?! Wilbur and Charlotte begging for cake or to lick the plate whichever.
