dogs in momma's bed

the puppies have enjoyed the last 2 weeks getting to sleep in the big bed with momma.

of course you do notice that they are situated in the center of the bed don't you? we have wrestled over who was going to sleep where every night. the only reason i win is because i get out of the bed and pull them over to the side so i will have a place to sleep.

last opportunity to waller on the bed before Doug gets home and they are going to enjoy it fully!!

got the sheets all changed. ...no more puppy smell

i found my dresser....unfortunately it spends most of its time as a dropping off spot.

loveseat can once again be sat on.

and there they sit perusing their domain. it makes me wonder what they are thinking sometimes although it probably isn't nearly as interesting as the things i make up in my mind.....

Spring Cleaning Day

today i spent spring cleaning in my bedroom....YUCKY!! pulling furniture (except for the bed) away from the walls and scrubbing baseboards as well as vacuuming an embarrassing amount of dust from under and behind furniture....

(when Wilbur would let me...he hates the vac and attacks it at every opportunity...that's his black and white butt in the pic)....

emptying drawers onto the bed and sorting through stuff that's been crammed into nightstands since the last time i did major cleaning....






washing the light fixture for the fan and showering the lampshades for the table lamps.









and changing out a light socket. now my back hurts and i'm hungry and whiney.

I was taken hostage for the day.....Gloria and Kara picked me up at 8:30am and we went for a day of pampering at a local day spa. I've never been to a spa before so the entire day was full of firsts for me....1st facial, manicure, pedicure, massage and entire japanese experience......

Be brave before reading any further....this is full of BEFORE as well as after shots of us.....don't say you haven't been warned.....

Stephanie did our hair and our facials for us. Everyone was so sweet there. Holly did our manicures and pedicures and Moon gave us the most awesome hour long massages....heaven i tell ya!!!

the facial room....it was wonderful....i've never had a facial before other than the do it yourself ones....believe me, this was soooo much better!!! i thought i would fall asleep it felt so good

i splurged and bought 2 pairs at Old Navy for $5....

big time spender that i am and all that....

We had a half hour to kill before our supper reservations so......we went to Shoe Carnival which was conveniently just around the corner....

Gloria made reservations at Miyabi for us. I've never had the Japanese experience before.

okay, i've never been anywhere where they cook your food in front of you (if you don't count backyard barbecue).
